4-Day Retreat— SURINAME RAINFOREST

$1,600.00

Get ready for a beautiful adventure into the heart of Suriname’s interior. This 4-day retreat is all about culture, nature, and the pure magic that lives deep in the rainforest.

Day 1
Our adventure begins in Paramaribo, where we drive to Atjoni, the gateway to Suriname’s interior. From here, we’ll hop on a boat and glide along the Upper Suriname River, surrounded by the most beautiful lush rainforest and peaceful sounds of nature. Our first stop will be at Pikin Slee, one of the largest Maroon villages along the Upper Suriname River. Here we’ll visit the Pikin Slee Museum, where you’ll discover the rich Saramaccan traditions, woodcarvings, stories, and the powerful history that shaped the people and the land. It’s a warm and eye-opening experience that brings you closer to the roots of Afro-Surinamese culture.

From there we will make our way to Maasia Kondre, where we’ll stay at the peaceful Royal Masia Resort. Surrounded by nature and the calming spirit of the river, this resort gives you the space to unwind, rest, and fully absorb the beauty of the interior. It’s comfortable, serene, and the perfect base for exploring this sacred region.

Day 2

After an adventurous first day, day 2 is all about slowing down and letting the energy of the space settle in. Take time to rest by the river, soak in the sights and sounds of nature, and connect with the peaceful rhythm of the interior. We’ll cook together, bringing warmth, creativity, and nourishment to our bodies. A gentle meditation and stretching sessions will help us fully absorb the beauty and calm around us, grounding our energy and preparing us for the days ahead. It’s a day to nourish the body, mind, and spirit — fully present, fully relaxed, and fully in tune with the magic of the interior.

Day 3

On this day, we make our way to a village called Djoemoe, where we will be hiking the Ananasberg. A lush mountain known for its peaceful energy and beautiful views, with gentle trails that offer a rewarding challenge, giving you the chance to move your body while fully connecting with the forest. The climb invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and take in the breathtaking views over the lush rainforest. We end the day at the stunning Tapawatra Falls, where the water rushes over wide rock formations. This place is full of life, purity and healing. You can sit on the warm stones, dip your feet in the flowing water, or simply relax and let nature wash away any heavy energy. It’s refreshing, playful, and deeply healing all at once.

Day 4

On the final day, we rise early and take the boat back to Atjoni, letting the peaceful river guide us gently out of the interior. This is a quiet, reflective time to soak in the last moments of nature, gratitude, and the energy of the space before returning to Paramaribo. It’s a gentle closing to a transformative journey — leaving with memories, inspiration, and a deep connection to Suriname’s landscapes and culture.

This package also includes Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
